be returned to Hewlett-Packard through the HP Printing Supplies Environmental Program. This
easy-to-use, free take-back program is available in over 25 countries. Multi-lingual program
information and instructions are included in every new HP Toner Cartridge and Consumables box.

HP Printing Supplies Environmental Program

Since 1990, the HP Printing Supplies Environmental Program has collected more than 39 million
used toner cartridges that otherwise might have been discarded in the world’s landfills. The
HP LaserJet toner cartridges go to a collection center and are shipped in bulk to our resource and
recovery partners who disassemble the toner cartridge. Remaining materials are separated and
converted into raw materials for use by other industries to make a variety of useful products.

U.S. returns

For a more environmentally responsible return of used toner cartridges and consumables,
Hewlett-Packard encourages you to use bulk returns. Simply bundle two or more toner cartridges
together and use the single, prepaid, pre-addressed UPS label that is supplied in the package. For
